Battle Of Britain Parade 18th Sept 2011 - Once again the band were excellent and the playing of the Last Post in the cathedral was commendable to you all.

... we had a great afternoon and, as usual, thoroughly enjoyed the band playing with such verve and panache! ... ... Of course, do book us in for next year... Kind regards to you all,

We were glad to support your local band, they need all the support they can get in these times. I was quite impressed with the range of tunes that they played, "Hey Jude" was great, definitely a unique twist to a classic tune and the old war time music reminded me of my grandma, she used to sing along to Vera Lynn, I was even humming and rocking my foot. And the flapjack, well we came back for seconds so I think that says it all.

Congratulations on today’s excellent event. I truly enjoyed the band, the choir, the cakes, the company and in fact the whole afternoon. I have the impression the this will become an annual event in Oughtibridge’s calendar.

Dear Margaret

I would just like to offer my congratulations for your part in organising the Concert in Coronation Park on Sunday. It proved to be a very enjoyable afternoon and a wonderful reward for all the hard work you and your team put into making it happen.

I spoke with people after the concert and received not one negative comment, many expressed a wish for it to become a regular event. I will be reporting back to council on the success of the day and expressing my desire to encourage such a partnership in the future to enable events like this to take place on an annual basis. You did the village and Bradfield Parish Council proud.

Thank you once again for all your hard work and please pass these thanks onto all who made the day possible.

Yours sincerely

Cllr. Kathy Reeves, Bradfield Parish Council

I attended the Battle of Britain Memorial Service yesterday, 19th September, at Sheffield Cathedral. I was representing Penistone Royal British Legion and I was impressed with your band especially with the music in the Cathedral, it was one of the best services that I have attended. I have attached some photos which I hope may be of some interest.

Regards

Joe Pinguey (Penistone RBL)
